Weight Loss

Medical Weight Loss in Nevada

Medical weight loss is a science-based approach to achieving sustainable weight loss and improving overall health. Contrary to common misconceptions, our program is not solely reliant on expensive pills or surgery. Instead, we combine evidence-based medical expertise with personalized care to address the underlying factors contributing to weight gain.

Our team begins with a comprehensive assessment to understand each patient’s unique needs and goals.

  • Nutritional Guidance: personalized nutrition plans for healthy eating habits, portion control and smarter food choices.
  • Prescription Medications: when appropriate, GLP-1 medications such as compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide may aid weight loss by suppressing appetite, reducing cravings, or boosting metabolism — under provider supervision.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are GLP-1s and how do they work?

GLP-1s are FDA-approved weight management medications self-administered through injections — examples include compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide. A Glucose-like Peptide (GLP-1) inhibitor helps your gut signal fullness to your brain, helps your pancreas release insulin when blood sugar is high, and slows down digestion so you feel full longer. GLP-1 treatment works best alongside a balanced diet and regular exercise.

Why can't I lose weight?

Beyond yo-yo dieting and consuming more calories than you burn, common culprits include certain medications (e.g. birth control), stress, anxiety and depression, lack of exercise, hypothyroidism or hyperthyroidism, heart disease, hormonal disorders, sleep disorders, slow metabolism, late-night eating, and excess sugar.

How quickly do GLP-1s work?

Results vary. An American Medical Association study found participants achieved roughly 6% weight loss by week 12 and 12% by week 28. Timelines depend on multiple individual factors.

What lifestyle changes support GLP-1 treatment?

Incorporate more whole foods, add physical activity (weight lifting or cardio — even light walking is a great start). Combined with healthy habits, GLP-1s can work wonders.

What are the side effects of GLP-1 treatment?

Possible side effects include nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, constipation, heartburn, burping and fatigue. These typically subside as your body adjusts. If they don't, give us a call.

What insurance is accepted?

No insurance is accepted — we are a cash-only practice. Due to federal and state regulations, we do not accept Medicare or Medicaid patients.

What is the process for receiving treatment?

Step 1: Book a consultation and complete lab work (programs are entirely online via telehealth across Nevada). Step 2: Receive your customized weight loss plan and medications shipped from a compounding pharmacy. Step 3: Implementation over 3–6 months with telehealth check-ins every 3 weeks.
